Victor Moncato played football for FDU from 1992 to 1994, punting, returning punts, and hauling in passes at wide receiver. His name appears 31 times in the FDU record books, more than any other player in school history. Moncato's career total of 2,854 yards receiving is the all-time school record. He holds single-season reception yardage record with 1,217 (1993), and also holds third-place on the list with 998 yards (1994). He holds second, third, and fourth place on the single-game reception yardage list with marks of 230, 220, and 189 yards. His career total of 168 receptions is a school record. Moncato had 64 receptions in 1993 (second-best) and 56 in 1994 (third-best). He made 11 catches against Wilkes University in 1993 for third-best in a single game. Moncato's 30 touchdown catches in a career is a school record. He caught 14 TD passes in 1993 and 11 in 1994, taking first and second place in the record book. He caught three touchdown passes in one game, which ties him for second-best. He holds the record for longest reception in school history, a 90-yarder against St. John's University. Moncato's 192 career points also is a school record. He scored a total of 84 points in 1993 and 72 in 1994 for the top two seasons in school history. His single-season punting average of 42.3 in 1993 is a school record. Moncato averaged 38.9 in 1994 (third-best) and he punted the longest two punts in school history, 70 and 66 yards. He averaged 24.3 yards per punt return in 1992 to set another school record. In 1993, he averaged 7.3 yards per punt return (fifth-best). His 23 punt returns in 1994 rank as the second-most in school history and his 20 in 1993 ranks third. Moncato now teaches calculus, geometry, and algebra at Lakewood Ranch High School in Bradenton, Florida. He also coaches football, basketball, and baseball at the school. Moncato breeds tropical fish and also works as a painting contractor. He and his wife, Sarah, live in Sarasota. Their daughter, Alexis, is 15 months old.
