Robert Disimile played midfielder for FDU's lacrosse team from 1967 to 1970. As a sophomore in 1968 he was named First Team All-Division. In 1969, he was named a Third Team All-American and First Team All-Division. He topped that in 1970, earning First Team All-American honors as well as reappearing on the All-Division First Team. He also was selected to the North-South All-Star Game that year. Disimile specialized in face-offs and served as team captain in 1970. While at FDU, he also lettered in wrestling three times, from his freshman year to junior year. Disimile has worked at Comprehensive Finanacial Management, an independent financial planning firm in Melville, N.Y. for 12 years and is now a vice president. He is still involved with the game of lacrosse, coaching junior level teams. He lives on Long Island with his wife Gail. They have one son, Christopher who was an All-Ivy lacrosse player at Yale University..
