Daria Klachko dominated on the basketball court for FDU from 1985 through 1989 in several aspects of the game. She ranks as the Devils' all-time leading rebounder with 838. For the 1988-1989 season, she blocked 73 shots to set the school single-season record. Klachko ranks fourth on the all-time scoring list with 1,256 points, averaging 13.9 points per game for her career. Klachko holds the fourth-highest career field goal percentage in school history at 48.6. Her 9.3 rebounds per game rank second for a career at FDU. Her 505 career field goals are third. Klachko made 246 free throws, third-most all-time. Her 66.3 free throw percentage ranks eighth in school history. She was named team MVP twice, earning that honor for the 1987-1988 season and for 1988-1989. Klachko was named Rookie of the Year for 1985-1986. Her 25 rebounds against Upsala during the 1988-1989 season is a single game school record. Her 10 blocks that same season against New Rochelle also mark a single game school record. For the 1987-88 season, Klachko grabbed 302 rebounds, the most ever in a season for an FDU player. Her 250 rebounds the next season ranks second. Klachko in is her fourth year of private practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist in Livingston, working out of St. Barnabas Medical Center. She earned her medical degree at Uninversity of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1993 and did her residency at Beth Israel Medical Center. Her practice delivered over 500 infants last year. She resides in Florham Park.
