Illidge played football from 1985-88. He was named a First Team Kodak All-American and a Third Team Pizza Hut All-American in 1987.
As a senior in 1987, Illidge made 26 sacks. (Sacks were not an official NCAA stat at that time. Had they been, Frank would be among the all time leaders in NCAA history.)
Illidge racked up 62 career sacks, posting four as a freshman, 13 as a sophomore, and 20 as a junior.
He was invited to tryout with the New York Football Giants in 1988 and made it through mini camp. The following year, Green Bay and Kansas City had him try out.
Illidge is a Record Center Supervisor for Sequedex Global Information Management and enjoys bowling.
He lives in Spotswood.
