Debbie Fordyce shares the school record for most career goals with 29. Her 72 career points rank her second all-time for FDU.
A two-time All-Freedom League selection, Fordyce was picked as a forward in 1996 and simply on offense in 1997.
Fordyce was selected as FDU’s 1998 NJAIAW Woman of the Year and was also the field hockey team’s Most Valuable Player.
One of her biggest moments came when she scored two goals against perennial powerhouse Trenton State as a senior.
Fordyce scored 12 goals in 1997, a mark that ranks second all-time for a single season at FDU. She is tied for third place on the single season points list with 29 (1997). Her 29 points in 1997 tied for the team lead. In 1996, Fordyce led the team with eight goals. In 1995, she ranked third with 15 points (five goals, five assists). In 1994, Fordyce was second on the team with 12 points while ranking second in goals with four and recording a team-best four assists.
Fordyce works as a Sales Project Manager at Alliance/Rock Tenn. She credits her field hockey start to her sister Sue Fordyce-Clements who put a stick in her hands for the first time.
