Michelle Hickey played for the Devils women's soccer team from 2010-2013. Hickey was part of and played in all 24 matches for the 2010 squad led by current Head Coach and Associate Athletic Director Kristin Giotta that qualified for the ECAC Tournament and won the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Regular Season Championship. During her four years, the Devils earned a berth in the MAC Freedom Championship Tournament every year.
In her freshman season, Hickey added three goals on the season for FDU. In her sophomore season, she scored four goals for the Devils. The following season, Hickey doubled her goal total with eight goals, which was good enough to rank her second on the team. In the 2012-13 season, Hickey scored 10 goals and added five assists as the Devils finished for a third place tie in the MAC Freedom standings.Â
Michelle graduated in 2013 with her name etched in the record books. In Devils career categories, she ranks top-five in game-winning goals., with seven and shots-on-goal with 76. Michelle also ranks third all-time in single-season game-winning goals, with five in 2013. Michelle was and is honored as an All-Conference Second Team selection. Michelle was named the 2013 FDU Maddy Award Female Athlete of the Year. During her senior year, she was named First Team All-ECAC and is still the only player in program history to be named an NSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-American.Â
Currently, Michelle works as a Digital Marketing Manager at Becton Dickinson. Michelle resides in Passaic County and is engaged to Krissy Trujilo.Â
