Hall of Fame
Brittni Wurst was a member of the FDU Softball team under current Head Coach Dante Fedeli from 2011-2014. During her career, Brittni was a member of two FDU teams that reached the Eastern College Athletic Conference Tournament. Brittni holds the distinction of being the program’s all-time career record holder in stolen bases with 76. She also resides in the program record book as second in program history in hits with 176, third in at-bats with 445, fourth in batting average at 396, and second in runs with 117. Brittni also holds numerous spots in the Devil's single-season record books, as second in hits with 53, fourth in batting average at 473, fifth in runs scored with 38, and third and fourth in stolen bases with 30 and 27. Wurst capped off her career by being named All-Region by the NFCA and was a First Team All-MAC Freedom choice all four years.
After her playing days, Brittni became a teacher. For the past five years, she has worked as a first-grade teacher for the Lakewood Board of Education. Brittni works directly with English Language Learners, where the goal is to achieve high state standards. Brittni’s work transcends the classroom as she is also a member of the “Parent Academy” where her responsibility is to teach parents what students are learning in school so they can help their children with their learning at home. For all her efforts, Brittni received a nomination for the 2018-19 Teacher of the Year. Brittni also works at Weichert Realtors as a part-time real estate agent in the Monmouth and Ocean County areas. In August of 2018, she married FDU Baseball Alumnus Brandan Adams. The couple is expecting their first child in February of 2020.
