Hall of Fame
Amanda Wayne was a four-year letter winner for the Devils women’s lacrosse team from 2006-09.
Wayne’s name canvasses the Devils women’s lacrosse record book as the former attacker ranks first in goals (267), first in points (328), first in draw controls (238) and third in assists (61). Additionally, Wayne’s long list of accolades includes MAC Player of the Year, First Team All-Boardwalk Region (3x), All-Freedom first team (4x), Team MVP (3x), Third Team womenslacrosse.com All-American (2x), ECAC First Team, and chosen for the North/South All-Star Game.
Over the course of her four seasons at FDU-Florham, Wayne helped lead the Devils to an NCAA Tournament appearance and MAC Championship (2008), MAC Finals (2007 & 2009), and an ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Championship (2009). In 2012, Wayne was named to the All-MAC Women’s Lacrosse Century team.
Wayne earned her Masters of Social Work in 2012 from Adelphi University and currently works as a psychiatric social worker at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, N.Y. The Long Island native currently resides in East Patchogue, NY.
