Hall of Fame
Salveson was a four-year letterwinner in both soccer and lacrosse. He captained the lacrosse team as a junior and senior. In addition, he was named All-Division three times.
Salveson earned All-American honors in 1970 and in 1971. He was named the William Y. Dear Men’s Athlete of the Year in 1971.
He and his wife, Barbara, have been married since 1972. They have two children, John and Jessica.
Jessica is a Monmouth University graduate now attending New York University’s School of Social Work. She was the captain of Monmouth’s lacrosse team as a junior and as a senior. John is a freshman at Bucknell University and a member of the lacrosse team. Last year, he was a member of the number one high school lacrosse team in the nation at Ward Melville.
Salveson has worked in the insurance business since 1985.
