Hall of Fame
John Hammond played lacrosse at FDU from 1966 to 1969. He captained the team in 1968 and 1969, and for his senior campaign, Hammond was named Second Team All-American and Second Team All-Division. He ranks all time on the all-time career saves list with 796. During Hammond's career, the lacrosse team posted a 45-13 record. He allowed just 4.8 goals per game for the 1969 team that won the USILA New York Metropolitan Division Championship. That team was ranked number 16 in the nation with a 13-2 record. Hammond also played soccer at FDU-Madison from 1966 to 1967. In 1967, he scored eight goals and had an assist.
