Steve Chwatek was a four-year letterwinner, Team Captain as a senior and Co-Team MVP in the 1987-88 season.
Steve led the team in scoring in 1984-85 (15.0 ppg) and 1986-87 (13.7 ppg) while also ranking first in FDU history in career free throws made (366), second in career free throw attempts (502), fourth in single season free throws made (116) and eighth in career points (1,357). He was also an All-Conference performer in 1986-87 and joins his two frontcourt teammates in the Hall of Fame.
After leaving FDU, Steve lived in Stirling, NJ, and owned a landscaping business. He was married and had two children, Alyson and Mitchell. Steve passed away in December 2006 survived by his two kids, his brother Ken, his mother Martha and his father Chester.
