Travis Fryzowicz finished his playing career in 1995 and ranks second in the school’s history for innings pitched with 244.1, strikeouts with 183, and wins with 23.
Fryzowicz pitched in 36 games in his career, fourth-most in program history. His 27 complete games is the most in the program’s history. His career earned run average of 2.87 ranks second.
In 1993, Fryzowicz was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Northeast Most Valuable Player. He earned All-MAC Freedom Conference First Team recognition in 1994. In 1995, he was named Second Team All-MAC Freedom Conference as well as Team MVP.
After graduation, Fryzowicz played two years of minor league baseball. As a relief pitcher with the Brainerd Bears in Minnesota his first year, he compiled a 3-3 record and 3.80 ERA. In his second season, Fryzowicz played for the Elmira Pioneers under former Major Leaguers Ken Oberkfel and Paul Blair, and served as their number three starting pitcher. He went 7-5 with a 3.63 ERA, which ranked seventh in the league.
He works as a Store Executive with Target Corporation in Bensalem, PA.
Fryzowicz lives in Columbus, NJ with his wife Kelly (class of 1996), and their two-year old son Hunter Travis. They await the birth of their second child, due in March.
