Jake Doran is one of the top receivers in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Football program history. He was named a Football Gazette Second Team All-American in 1995 and was also named First Team All-Freedom Conference for that same season. He holds the school record for receptions in one season with 70.
Doran’s 2,305 career receiving yards ranks second all-time for the team. Doran ranks as the program’s second most prolific receiver in career receptions with 151. His 21 touchdown receptions also rank second all-time and his 128 points ranks third all-time.
His 1,201 receiving yards in 1995 ranks as the second most in a season for the program and his 11 touchdown receptions in that season ties him for the second most in a season for the team. His 68 points during that season ties him for the third most in the school’s history.
Doran also holds the school’s single-game record for receiving yardage with 268 against Widener in 1995. His 13 receptions in one game against Lycoming in 1994 is also a record. He twice caught 11 passes in a game, tying for third and his four touchdown receptions against Upsala in 1993 ranks first on the Devils all-time list. That performance was also good for a tie as the second most points in a game by a Devil with 24. In 1995 he also caught three touchdowns against Delaware Valley to tie for second in the history of the program.
Doran works as a software consultant for a pharmaceutical company.
