Lee Hackett played basketball from 1971 through 1975. He was named the team’s Most Valuable Player as a junior.

Hackett ranks as the team’s sixth all-time leading scorer with 1,406 points. On the career field goals made list, he also ranks sixth with 573. He sank 258 career free throws to rank ninth in that category. In addition, his 1,000 rebounds rank fifth on the team’s career list. 

In 1971-72, Hackett led the Devils with 15.0 points per game and in both 1973 and 1974 (14.8 PPG) ranked just behind John Lang in points per game on the season. Hackett also averaged 9.6 rebounds per game, the sixth-highest total in program history.

During the 1973-1974 season, he pulled down 287 rebounds for the team’s ninth highest total in a season. The next season he grabbed 286 rebounds in for the 10th highest total.

Hackett works for ADT Security as a Security Consultant, He has lived in Boca Raton, Florida for 26 years. A single parent, he has four children: Leo, Ashleigh, Aaron, and Christian.

He has coached Aaron’s youth basketball team to two undefeated championship seasons and a 28-1 record over the past two years.
