Brian Gonsar was a two-sport athlete at FDU, being named All-Conference in both men’s soccer and men’s tennis. In tennis, he was selected All-Conference in all four seasons, including three First Team Selections from 2002-04.

During his four years as a soccer standout, the team had 33 wins, and qualified for the MAC Freedom Tournament in three of the four years. The 11 wins in 2002 were tied for the most over the previous 41 years.

As a soccer player, Brian totaled 32 goals and six assists, good for 70 points. His 14 goals during the 2003 season rank him sixth all-time on the single season program history list.

He also amassed 87 career tennis wins, which are second all-time in program history. In 2004, Brian and teammate Frank Geiger battled back from being down one set to win the MAC Doubles title 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. They are the last doubles team to a MAC Championship.

Brian joins an exclusive group of both men’s tennis and men’s soccer players to be inducted. He joins Geiger as the only men’s tennis individuals to be selected to the FDU Hall of Fame, and is the seventh men’s soccer player chosen.

Currently, Brian is the Senior Vice President and Executive Producer with Hill Holliday Marketing & Advertising. He also serves on the FDUArts Advisory Board.
