Karen (Ricci) Jeczo played field hockey from 1988 through 1991. She was named First Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference in as a senior in 1991. She was also honored as the team’s Most Valuable Player in that year.

Jeczo holds the program’s all-time records for saves with 433 and for save percentage with a mark of .902. She ranks second on the career minutes played list with 3,026.

Her save percentage of .921 in 1990 stands as the team’s highest in a season. She also owns the fourth best season mark of .906 in 1991 and sixth best mark of .901 in 1988. Jeczo ranks second on the single season list for saves with 193 in 1988. She also ranks second on single-season minutes played list with 1,272 in 1988.

After earning her bachelor’s degree, Jeczo went on to earn her master’s from Fairleigh Dickinson in 1998.

She is now in her 13th year as an English teacher in Kinnelon. She has a two-year old daughter and is expecting her second child in February.
