 Clancy, a three-sport athlete, was named the named the 1985-86 Athlete of the Year for the Madison athletic department.

A four-year softball player, Clancy has the third highest on-base percentage for a season with a .577 mark in 1983. She also ranks ninth on the all-time list for most walks in a season with 16 in 1983

She ranks sixth on the career list with 42 walks and is sixth in triples as well. Clancy also owns the 10th highest on-base percentage for a career with a .419 mark. Clancy was also a four-year basketball player from 1982-86 and is 15th in career rebounds with 343. She ranks 16th in career free throws made with 88 and 18th in career field goals made with 170.

She played volleyball in her junior and senior years and was named the team's rookie of the year in 1984. She was also named to the All-WIAC First Team. In 1985, she was honored as a First Team All-WIAC selection again and was named the team MVP.

In 1986 she served as an assistant coach for volleyball.

Clancy works as a school counselor at Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School.
