Five from Softball Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

Madison, N.J. (May 27)- As announced from the College of Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday afternoon, The FDU-Florham softball programs saw five of their student-athletes earn CSC Academic All-District team this year.
 
Representing on the field and in the classroom were graduate student Erin Sinatra (Colonia, NJ), junior Jada Lambright (Clifton Park, NY), and sophomores Kylee Berg (Bordentown, NJ), Riley Signor (Media, PA), and Giulia Olear (Cranford, NJ).
 
In her first and only season with the Devils, Sinatra posted a 14-8 record across 22 appearances in the circle while holding a 3.84 GPA in digital marketing. She was named both All-MAC Freedom First Team and MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Year for her dominant performance. Highlights of her standout season include 6 shutout games, career milestones of 400 and 500 strikeouts, reaching 50 career wins, a career-high 15 strikeouts in a single game vs. Misericordia, and 179 strikeouts in 143 innings, ranking top-2 in NCAA Division III at one point in the season for most strikeouts. This is her first CSC Academic All-District Honor.

Along with accomplishing a 3.99 cumulative GPA, Lambright earns her second possible CSC honor after recording a .336 batting average to go along with 37 starts in all games this season. She sent the ball out into the field for 41 total hits and was responsible for 32 RBI and 23 runs along with 15 doubles, which accounted for the second most in the MAC Freedom.
 
Berg earned her first CSC Academic All-District honor with a work ethic seen on and off the field, as she ended the school year with a 3.86 cumulative GPA. She was seen in 35 games and produced a .353 batting average along with 36 hits, 24 runs, and 14 RBI. During the MAC Freedom doubleheader at DeSales, Berg sent her first collegiate home run over the left field fence.
 
With a 3.85 cumulative GPA, Signor accomplished much in the classroom as well as the field. The sophomore earned her first CSC Academic All-District honor with a .259 batting average and a .973 fielding percentage. She accounted for 22 hits, 21 runs, and 9 RBI on the offensive side and was a part of 294 putouts on defense behind the plate for the Devils this season.
 
In her debut season for FDU, Olear made her mark not only on the field with 23 hits, 14 runs, and 11 RBI but did so in the classroom with a perfect 4.00 GPA. The sophomore was submitted into the lineup in 33 games while starting in 27 total. She collected her first hit for the Devils at William Paterson during the first game of the season and continued to look forward in the eyes of the team, continuing to produce more.
