Danbury, Conn. (June 8) – FDU-Florham senior third baseman
Tommy Moore (Mansfield, NJ) has been named to the 2022 All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III First Team.
Moore adds this award to his list of honors from this spring as he was also named to the America Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region IV Second Team and to the D3baseball.com All-Region IV Third Team. In addition, Moore earned a spot on the All-Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) First Team and to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team.
The senior had an outstanding senior campaign as he batted .368 with a single season program record 11 home runs to go along with 32 RBI, 50 hits, 11 doubles, 33 runs and a slugging percentage of .691 in 41 games. Moore ranked first in the MAC Freedom in home runs, second in slugging percentage, second in OPS, sixth in doubles, seventh in RBI, eighth in hits and eighth in batting average. The senior ranked 12th in the nation with his 11 home runs and ends his FDU career with 20 round trippers, the second most in Devils history.
Moore led the Devils to an ECAC Division III Championship title with a sweep of Penn State Behrend in May and helped FDU-Florham to the most wins the team has had since the 2014 campaign with a record of 22-19.
