Madison, NJ (May 13) – The FDU-Florham football team, coming off its first ECAC Division III Bowl Championship in program history, has released its schedule for the upcoming 2022 campaign. The Devils will be under the direction of
first-year head coach Anthony Van Curen this season.
FULL 2022 FDU-FLORHAM FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
FDU-Florham will kick off the year with a matchup at the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Friday, September 2 at 7:00 pm. The Devils will then play three straight home games on Robert T. Shields Field beginning on Friday, September 9 at 7:00 pm against William Paterson University.
In week three, the Devils will open Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) play against Lebanon Valley College on Saturday, September 17 at 12:00 pm and then will cap the homestand on Saturday, September 24 with a homecoming matchup with King's College (Pa.) at 12:00 pm.
"We are excited for the upcoming season. Our players have done an outstanding job so far in the classroom, in the weight room and on the field this spring," said Van Curen. "Our conference is challenging from top to bottom and I'm excited to see our players go out and compete every week."
FDU-Florham will open October with a trip to Misericordia University on the first of the month before hosting Widener University on Saturday, October 8. The Devils will play three of their final four games on the road at Stevenson University (October 22), Delaware Valley (November 5) and Alvernia University (November 12).
Prior to FDU's final home game on Saturday, October 29 against Albright College, the Devils will honor their Class of 2023 seniors in a pregame ceremony.
FDU-Florham is coming off a season which saw the Devils go 7-4 (5-3 MAC) and win its first ECAC Division III Bowl Championship in program history. Over the course of the 2021 season, the Devils topped William Paterson (43-17), Misericordia (31-20), Widener (27-3), Lebanon Valley (33-27 2OT), Albright (42-35) and Alvernia (34-14).
