Madison, NJ (March 23) – After earning Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Player of the Week accolades on Monday, FDU-Florham baseball senior third baseman
Tommy Moore (Mansfield, NJ) has been named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week.
Moore is the second Devil to earn National Team of the Week honors this season as graduate student pitcher
Christian Capuano (Vernon, NJ) was named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week back on February 23.
In the weekend set against the Aggies, Moore batted .727 (8-for-11), hit three home runs, posted nine RBI, scored seven runs and drew a pair of walks. Moore blasted one homer in Madison in game two of the doubleheader on Friday before knocking two over the fence on Saturday morning in the nine inning affair.
Moore now has the fourth most home runs in all of NCAA Division III with six so far this season and has guided the Devils to their best start to a season since 2010.
FDU, now 11-3 overall and 3-0 in MAC Freedom play, will host the United States Merchant Marine Academy this afternoon at Vincent J. and Lenda F. Naimoli Ballpark at 3:30 pm.
