Madison, NJ (February 17) – The FDU-Florham softball team and head coach Bridget Rafter has announced the program's 2022 schedule which features 34 total games, 12 home games and 16 matchups with Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) opponents.

FDU returns All-MAC Freedom First Team selection Kacie Centineo (Waldwick, NJ) and will welcome three first-years to the program this spring. Centineo started in 22 games for the Devils and hit .493, the third best in the MAC Freedom. She added seven doubles, two homers and nine RBI.
 
"Our coaching staff is thrilled with how our program has progressed over the past year," said Rafter. "Our team has truly embraced redefining FDU Devils Softball and what it means to be part of our family. Knowing that we have put in the work, we can't wait to get out on the diamond and compete!"
 
FDU will open its 2022 season with ten games in Clermont, Florida as part of The Spring Games. The Devils will face No. 10 TCNJ as well as Bethel, Curry, Rutgers-Newark, Salve Regina, Lasell, Meredith, Concordia (Wis.), Knox and Loras while in Florida.
 
The Devils will return to Madison and open MAC Freedom play on Sunday, March 20 with a doubleheader against Delaware Valley and then close the month of March with six straight road contests including doubleheaders at Centenary (NJ), King's College (Pa.), Ramapo.
 
April will begin with four consecutive doubleheaders including matchups with Wilkes (April 2), St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) (April 7), Lycoming (April 15) and Farmingdale State (April 19). The remainder of FDU's schedule features all MAC Freedom contests prior to the postseason tournament. The Devils will play two at Stevens on April 20, two at Arcadia on April 23, two in Madison against DeSales on April 27 and two at Misericordia on April 30.
 
The 2022 MAC Freedom Tournament is scheduled for May 5-7 at the Robert L. Betzler Athletic Complex on the campus of King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The winner of the MAC Freedom Tournament will receive the league's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division III Softball National Tournament.
