York, Pa. (February 11) – The FDU-Florham men's swimming team broke the school record in the 200-free relay to highlight day two of the 2022 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship held inside the Graham Aquatic Center.
 
Midway through the meet, FDU sits in 14th place with 132 points. Stevens currently leads the pack of 14 teams with 716 points, Widener is in second with 512 points and York College (Pa.) is in third with 509 points.
 
Tonight's session began with the 200-free relay squad of Anthony Muschiatti (Rahway, NJ), James Dougherty (Kinnelon, NJ), A-Izaiah Bryant (New Castle, De.) and Jack Hulsart (Old Bridge, NJ) breaking the school record with a time of 1:30.61, which was good enough for 11th place. The quartet broke the record of 1:31.27 that has stood since the 2015-16 season.
 
Individually, Hulsart earned a spot in the "C" final of the 100-fly and finished 21st overall with a time of 57.51. Hulsart came into the meet seeded with a time of 58.66 and shaved 1.41-seconds off of it in his prelim swim this morning.

Muschiatti and Bryant both improved upon their seed times in the 200-free this morning. Muschiatti finished 31st overall with a time of 1:55.80 after coming in with a mark of 1:58.87, while Bryant took over two seconds off his time and touched the wall in 2:06.36 during prelims.

James Butcher (West Orange, NJ), Dougherty, Hulsart and Muschiatti closed tonight's meet with an 11th place finish in the 400-medley relay with a time of 4:02.50.
 
Tomorrow at 10:00 am, FDU will compete in the prelims of the 200-fly and 100-breast as well as the "B" timed final of the 800-free relay. Those who qualify will compete in the finals of those event tomorrow evening at 6:00 pm in addition to the "A" timed final of the 800-free relay.

200-fly – Jack Hulsart (seeded 2:22.01)
100-breast – James Dougherty (seeded 1:02.14)
FDU will have one entry in the 800-free relay as well
