MADISON, N.J. – The FDU swim team held their first home meet against MAC Freedom Rivals Arcadia on Saturday afternoon.
Devils Highlights
- To start the day, the women's 400-yard medley relay team, consisting of seniors Magda Konopka and Lauren Stone, sophomore Olivia Case and first year Jillian Rhyshek, finished first place with a time of 4:23.10. Later in the meet, the women's 400-yard freestyle relay team made up of seniors Katelyn Plank and Jessica Mooney and sophomores Caitlyn Kramaritsch and Olivia Glenfield also took home first place with a time of 3:54.25, which was only a second ahead of Arcadia's A team.
- Katelyn Plank finished first place in two individual events, including the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard freestyle. Glenfield, Konopka, and Rhyshek all had individual first place finishes as well, having won the 1000-yard freestyle, the 50-yard freestyle, and the 500-yard freestyle.
- On the men's side, senior Michael Bang finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 1:03.30, having finished 5 seconds in front of his 2nd place opponent.
How it Happened
- Overall, the women's team won, finishing with a total score of 115.
- The men's team fell to Arcadia, finishing with a total score of 31.
