MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham swim team finished day two of their meet at Drew University this Saturday.
Devils Highlights
- In the morning session, first year Jillian Rhyshek kicked off the day as she placed second in the 100-yard backstroke with a final time of 1:01.40. Additionally, senior Magda Konopka placed second in the 100-yard backstroke with a final time of 1:11.97. Rounding out this session, senior Michael Bang finished fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 1:02.68.
- To kick off the evening session, senior Katelyn Plank broke a school record in the 100-yard freestyle event as she placed second with her record-breaking time of 54.04. Following this, Bang continue his success with a third-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing with a final time of 48.81.
- Later in session, Rhyshek once again placed second in her event, competing in the 200-yard backstroke and finishing with a time of 2:10.62. To finish the invitational, the women's 400-yard freestyle relay team, made up of Plank, Konopka, Rhyshek, and sophomore Caitlyn Kramaritsch, placed first in their event with a winning time of 3:42.79, which was only 30 milliseconds faster than the second-place team.
How it Happened
- The women's side finished third in the invitational with a final score of 189.
- The men's team finished fourth the invitational with a final score of 57.50.
