Box Score 2 CENTER VALLEY, PA - The College at Florham Devils dropped both games of a Freedom Conference doubleheader to DeSales on Saturday afternoon. FDU lost the first game by a margin of 4-1 before falling in the nightcap by a count of 7-4.
With the sweep, the Devils are now 13-13 (6-4 Freedom) while the Bulldogs are 17-6-1 (10-0 Freedom).
GAME ONE - DeSales jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning before making it 3-0 in the bottom of the third. The Bulldogs plated their fourth run in the bottom of the sixth before FDU got on the board with a run in the top of the seventh thanks to a solo home run from junior catcher
Sarah Lima. Lima led off the inning with the homer but DeSales retired the next three batters to seal the win.

Sydney Worek suffered the loss, tossing six innings and allowing four runs on eight hits while striking out two.
GAME TWO - FDU grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a RBI single by Lima but DeSales came right back with five in their half of the first to take a 5-1 lead. The Bulldogs made it 6-1 in the bottom of the fourth and 7-1 in the bottom of the fifth before the Devils plated three in the top of the seventh on a bases loaded walks to junior shortstop
Maggie Murphy and Lima, and a RBI single by freshman first baseman
Wynne McCann. FDU still had the bases loaded with two outs but the Bulldogs induced a fielder's choice to end the game.

Brittni Wurst finished the game 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored while junior second baseman
Kristie Crilley was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Senior pitcher
Karla Babb took the loss, going six innings and allowing seven runs (six earned) on 11 hits while striking out two.
The Devils return to action on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at home against Wilkes beginning at 1 pm.
