Box Score 2 CLERMONT, FL - The College at Florham Devils picked up their first two wins of the 2013 season on Monday afternoon by beating Becker and Suffolk, both by the score of 6-1, on the second day of their Florida Spring Break Trip.
With the sweep, the Devils improved to 2-2 on the season.
BECKER - Becker got their lone run in the top of the fourth inning to grab a 1-0 lead but FDU responded with two in the bottom of the fourth on a two-run triple from junior first baseman
Kristie Crilley. The Devils made it 3-1 in the fifth thanks to a RBI double by freshman designated hitter
Wynne McCann before plating three in the bottom of the sixth on a three-run error by Becker.

Maggie Murphy all had two hits for FDU while freshman pitcher
Sydney Worek picked up the win by tossing seven innings while allowing one run (unearned) on one hit while striking out six.
SUFFOLK - FDU started the scoring with two runs in the top of the first inning on a RBI double from Murphy and a sacrifice fly from McCann. The Devils made it 4-0 in the top of the second thanks to a RBI single by sophomore outfielder
Colleen Moriarty and a RBI single from freshman outfielder
Jenna Appello. FDU tacked on a run apiece in the fourth and fifth innings on a RBI single by McCann and a RBI single from Murphy. Suffolk cut it to 6-1 in the bottom of the seventh but that was as close as they would get as the Devils earned the sweep.
Appello finished the game 4-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a RBI while Murphy and Moriarty each had two hits. Senior pitcher
Karla Babb collected the win, going seven innings and allowing one run on three hits while striking out four.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, against Stevenson at 11 am and RPI beginning at 1 pm.
