Box Score 2 PURCHASE, NY - The College at Florham Devils split a Freedom Conference doubleheader with Manhattanville on Friday afternoon, dropping the first game by a score of 16-3 in five innings before rebounding to win the second game by a margin of 6-0.
With the split, the Devils are now 11-9 (3-3 Freedom) while the Valiants are 11-12 (6-2 Freedom).
GAME ONE - The Valiants got on the board with five runs in the first inning before FDU cut it to 5-3 in the top of the second on a two-run single from freshman designated hitter
Jackie Gioia and a RBI single by sophomore outfielder
Brittni Wurst. Manhattanville responded with three in the third and eight in the fourth to pick up the win.

Christine Antoniotti finished the game 2-for-3 with a stolen base while junior pitcher
Brianne Conanan suffered the loss, tossing four innings while allowing 16 runs (six earned) on 10 hits.
GAME TWO - FDU got the scoring started with a run in the top of the second thanks to a RBI single from Wurst before making it 3-0 in the third on a RBI double by senior third baseman
Megan Golembiewski and a steal of home by Golembiewski. The Devils grabbed a 4-0 advantage in the top of the sixth, on a Valiant error, and put the game out of reach with two runs in the seventh on a wild pitch and a RBI sinlge by Gioia.
Antoniotti went 3-for-4 with a run scored while Golembiewski went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, two runs scored and a RBI. Gioia was 2-for-4 with a RBI and Wurst went 2-for-5 with a stolen base, a run scored and a RBI. Senior pitcher
Megan McInaw picked up the win, throwing seven innings and allowing no runs on two hits wihle striking out 11.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Wilkes beginning at 3 pm.
