WILKES-BARRE, PA - Trailing 1-0 heading into the top of the sixth inning, third-seeded King's College used a two-run home run to come from behind to beat the second-seeded College at Florham Devils, 2-1, in the Freedom Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 14-18 while the Monarchs improved to 16-11.  FDU will now move on to play Manhattanville in an elimination game while King's will play DeSales in the winner's bracket.

FDU scratched out their lone run of the game in the top of the first inning on a RBI double from junior pitcher Megan McInaw.  McInaw was cruising through the first five innings on the mound until Amanda Cardone came up and drilled a two-run home run from King's in the top of the sixth inning.  FDU got a runner on in the bottom of the sixth but couldn't get the tying run across the plate.

Each team finished the game with five hits while McInaw tossed seven innings and allowed two runs on five hits while striking out seven on the mound.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, May 7, 2011, against fourth-seeded Manhattanville at King's beginning at 9 am.
