MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by cross-town rival Drew, 3-1, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 13-14 while the Rangers improved to 13-17.
Drew got on the board with a run in the bottom of the fourth inning before adding another run in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Devils cut it to 2-1 in the top of the sixth on a RBI double from junior pitcher
Megan McInaw and were threatening to score more but the Rangers got out of the jam. Drew then added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth to secure the 3-1 win.
McInaw finished 2-for-3 with a RBI while sophomore second baseman
Christine Antoniotti was also 2-for-3. McInaw suffered the loss on the mound, going six innings and allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out five.
The Devils return to action on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at New Jersey City beginning at 3:30 pm.
