CLERMONT, FL - The College at Florham Devils opened up their 2011 season with a split on Monday afternoon on the first day of their Florida Spring Break Trip.  FDU was knocked off by Babson, 6-1, in Game One before rebounds with a 9-0 (6) victory over St. Scholastica in Game Two.

With the split, the Devils stand at 1-1 on the season.

GAME ONE - Junior designated player Megan McInaw accounted for FDU's lone run with a solo home run.  Freshman catcher Sarah Lima had two singles while sophomore pitcher Karla Babb went 5.2 innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on nine hits while striking out two.

GAME TWO - McInaw was the star of the win, this time on the mound.  She tossed a complete game six innings, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out 11.  Senior designated player Brianne Faynor went 2-for-2 with four RBI while sophomore second baseman Christine Antoniotti tallied three hits and a RBI.

The Devils return to action on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, against Rhode Island College at 1:30 pm and against Berry College beginning at 5:30 pm.
