UNION, NJ - The College at Florham Devils dropped both games of a doubleheader, 7-1 and 6-5, to Kean in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon.
With the losses, the Devils dropped to 11-19
GAME ONE - Kean got on the board first with three runs in the third inning before adding a run each in the fourth and fifth innings to take a 5-0 lead. The Devils plated their lone run in the top of the sixth on a RBI single by sophomore pitcher
Megan McInaw (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough). Kean added two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth to put the game away.

Elizabeth Spiller (Babylon, NY/St. John the Baptist) each had two hits while McInaw suffered the loss on the mound, going five innings and allowing five runs (two earned) on seven hits.
GAME TWO - Kean posted the first runs again, this time with two in the bottom of the second inning. The Devils came back with four runs in the top of the third to grab a 4-2 advantage on a grand slam home run by McInaw. The Cougars got one run back in the bottom half of the inning to pull to within 4-3 before scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 5-4 lead. The Devils tied it at 5-5 in the top of the sixth on a solo home run by junior catcher
Megan Boyle (South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) but Kean scored a run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to earn the sweep.
Boyle finished the game 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, a run scored and a RBI while sophomore pitcher
Megan Golembiewski (Beacon, NY/Beacon) started and got a no-decision, allowing five runs (three earned) on nine hits in five innings. Freshman pitcher
Karla Babb (Lake Hopatcong, NJ/Pope John) took the loss in relief, tossing 1.2 innings and allowing one run on two hits.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at home against New Jersey City beginning at 3 pm.
