DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Senior libero Ariana Wood was named the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 12, the conference office announced Tuesday morning. 

Wood, a Wayne, N.J. native helped the Devils to a perfect 3-0 week as she tallied 63 total digs including a career-high 36 dig performance in a five-set win over York on Sept. 12. 

Across the three matches, she averaged 5.73 digs per set and had just one reception error over the three matches. Wood now leads the MAC Freedom in total digs and is second in digs per set. 

This is Wood's first MAC Freedom weekly award honor of her career. 

Wood and the Devils return to the hard wood on Tuesday, Sept. 15 as the Devils host King's for their first MAC Freedom matchup.
