NEWTOWN, Pa. – FDU-Florham men's lacrosse sophomore attackman
Christopher Scheublin was named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 22, the conference office announced Tuesday morning.
Scheublin, a Tappan, N.Y. native set two new single-game records in FDU's 24-6 win over Warren Wilson as the sophomore midfielder scored 11 times on 17 shots on goal against the Owls, both surpassing the previous records of 10 and 14, respectively.
Scheublin helped the Devils to a 2-0 week as the Devils topped William Peace 12-5 two days prior to his record-setting performance against Warren Wilson. In Thursday's game against the Pacers, Scheublin tallied just one assist on the day and scooped up three ground balls and recorded one caused turnover.
This is Scheublin's first-career MAC Freedom Player of the Week honor.
The FDU-Florham men's lacrosse team returns to action on Tuesday, March 24 as the Devils head to Farmingdale State for their final non-conference match-up. First face-off is set for 7 p.m.
