COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.– The FDU indoor track and field traveled to Ursinus College for their first meet of the new year on Sunday morning.
Devils Highlights
- The meet kicked off with sophomore Meghan Kreinberg placing third in the 60mH with a final time of 10.29. Following Kreinberg, junior Briella Bagnato took first place in the 1-mile event with a final time of 5:53.92. On the men's 1-mile event, senior Emmanuel Torode placed second with a final time of 5:05.33, while sophomore Evan McGinnity placed third with a final time of 5:17.50.
- Later in the meet, first year Madeline Drozdowski placed second in the 400m event with a final time of 1:08.72. In the same event for the men, junior Nathaniel Perrelli and sophomore Lucas Sorrentino finished first and second place with final times of 55.18 for Perrelli and 55.98 for Sorrentino. In the women's 200m event, senior Bianca Burke finished second with a final time of 27.35. In the men's 200m event, juniors Nathaniel Evely and Nashawn Presley finished first and second place. Evely finished with a final time of 23.32, while Presley finished with a final time of 24.23.
- Rounding out the meet, Bagnato had her second first place finish of the day, having won the 3000m event. Her final time of 11:34.52 not only is a personal best, but also breaks the current 3000m school record of 12:19.22. Finally, the men's 4x200m event team, comprised of sophomore Alex Coles, first year Anthony Collier, and juniors Evely and Presley, placed first with a final time of 1:37.03.
How it Happened
- Overall, the Devils had five first place finishes, along with six top three finishes throughout the entire meet.
Up Next
The men's side will compete in the Hounds Classic hosted by Moravian College, while the women's side will compete at Franklin and Marshall. Both will take place on Saturday, January 24 at 10 a.m.
