Madison, N.J. (June 17)- As announced from the College of Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday afternoon, The FDU-Florham Devils Men's Lacrosse program saw three of their student-athletes earn CSC Academic All-District team this year.
Representing on the field and in the classroom were seniors
Ricky Lewis (Washington, NJ) and
Jarrett Dugenio (Bridgewater, NJ), along with sophomore
Anthony DiGiacomo (Paramus, NJ).
Lewis, an Accounting major, finished the academic year with an impressive 3.72 cumulative GPA. A dependable presence in every contest, Lewis played in all 17 games, tallying 16 goals and 6 assists for a total of 22 points. He also contributed defensively, collecting 16 ground balls and forcing 2 turnovers, playing a vital role in the Devils' overall strategy.
Dugenio, a senior Graphic Design major, earned his first CSC Academic All-District selection while maintaining a 3.71 cumulative GPA. On the field, he delivered a standout season with 27 goals and 12 assists across 17 games, totaling 39 points. Dugenio also picked up 17 ground balls and registered three game-winning goals, including a critical tally in the win over Lebanon Valley that ended their postseason hopes.
Giardina, in just his sophomore campaign, made an early impact both academically and athletically. With a 3.75 cumulative GPA, he proved his dedication in the classroom while appearing in 16 games for the Devils. A reliable defensive asset, Giardina recorded nine ground balls and earned his first CSC Academic All-District nod in his first year of eligibility.
