Selinsgrove, Pa. (February 17)- Sophomore
Ibrahim Fall (Boonton, N.J.) spotlighted the final regular season meet for the FDU-Florham men's track and field team when he qualified for the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships in three different events in his first day of competition this winter at the Susquehanna Tune Up on Saturday.
On the track, he qualified in the 60-meters dash when he clocked a 7.37 which was the 15
th fastest time at the meet. In the field events he hit conference championship marks in both the triple jump and the long jump. His triple jump was measured at 14.11m (46' 3.5") which was the best at the meet today. His triple jump mark currently stands as the fourth best mark in the conference and sixth best in the region. His long jump mark came out to a distance of 6.60m (21' 8") and was the fourth best jump on the day and currently sits as the fifth best jump in the conference and is tied for the 10
th best jump in the metro region.
Nashawn Presley (Irvington, N.J.) posted the other qualifying mark for the Devils at today's meet in the 200-meters dash. His time of 23.93 was the 12
th best time and moves him into competing next weekend. Presley also posted a personal-best time in the 400-meters run when he clocked a 55.41.
Joseph Teresi (Ocean Twp., N.J.) threw the second-best shot-put distance at the meet today when he recorded a distance of 14.47m (47' 5.75"). The junior thrower has posted a top-five mark in the event in each of his last four meets.
Michael Bonsignore (Nazareth, Pa.) posted two top-ten jumps at today's meet in the high jump and the long jump. He posted the eighth best high jump with a 1.77m (5' 9.75") and posted the fifth best long jump at 6.37m (20' 10.75").
The Devils saw three student-athletes all find person-best times in the 200-meters dash from
Cameron Hoover clocking a 24.35,
Shane Breedlove (Richmond, Va.) clocking a 26.95 and
Aaron McGriff (Scotch Plains, N.J.) clocking a 27.66. Breedlove also posted a season-best time in the 60-meters dash with a time of 8.15.
Emmanuel Torode (Roxbury, N.J.) and
Joseph Mignone (West Orange, N.J,) both posted personal bests in the 3000-meters run. Torode finished with a time of 10:01.38 while Mignone posted a 11:09.01 finish.
Fairleigh Dickinson also ran the 4x200 relay with a foursome of
Clayton Bryan (Roxbury, N.J.), Hoover,
Nathaniel Perrelli (Fanwood, N.J.) and Presley posted a season-best time of 1:36.34.
FDU-Florham now heads to the MAC Championships in Reading, Pa. for the two-day event that will start a 2pm on Friday, February 23.
