MADISON, N.J. - The FDU indoor track and field team held their first Battle of Madison Ave Meet on Sunday afternoon.

Devils Highlights
- To kick off the meet, junior Nashawn Presley finished second in the 100-meter final event and third in the 200-meter final event. He finished the 100-meter final with a time of 11.60 and he finished the 200-meter final with a personal best time of 23.01. Additionally, junior Nathaniel Evely finished the 200-meter final in second place with a season best time of 22.77. In the 400-meter final, sophomore Lucas Sorrentino finished in third place with a season best time of 53.27. Following this event, junior Luke Passarelli finished second in the 800-meter final with a season best of 2:08.16.
- In the 110-meter hurdles final, first year Christopher Conroy broke the school record by placing first with a final time of 18.64. After Conroy's record-breaking event, senior Shane Breedlove came in first in the 400-meter hurdles with a season best time of 1:05.58. Rounding out the men's track events, the 4x100 relay team, comprised of sophomore Alex Coles, first year Anthony Collier, Presley and Evely, placed first in the finals with a time of 44.05.
- For the women's track events, senior Bianca Burke led the charge by breaking FDU's 200-meter event record. She finished first in the finals with a time of 25.68, which was a full second ahead of second place. Burke also won the 400-meter final with a season best time of 59.59, followed closely behind by first year Madeline Drozdowski who placed second with a final time of 1:08.76. In both the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles, sophomore Alyssa Orio placed second with personal best times of 18.91 for the 100-meter and 1:23.10 for the 400-meter. Finally, the 4x100 relay team, comprised of first year Khajera Caldwell, junior Samantha Castellano, sophomore Brianna Fenderson, and Orio, placed first with a record-breaking time of 56.97.
- In the field events for the Devils, senior Tytus Toliver placed first in the shot put with a new personal best distance of 12.58 meters. Senior Ethan Yak found himself with a first-place finish, winning the javelin event with a personal best distance of 36.57 meters. Rounding out the men's team, Collier takes first in both the high jump and the long jump events. He finished the high jump with a personal best distance of 1.88 meters, while he finished the long jump with a personal best distance of 6.26 meters.
- Finishing the meets, sophomore Meghan Kreinberg picks up right where she left off in the indoor season by finishing first in the shot put, javelin, and high jump events. She finished the shot put with a distance of 11.48 meters, the javelin with a personal best distance of 35.33 meters, and the high jump with a personal best of 1.60 meters. Immediately behind Kreinberg, junior Irem Ucar finished second in both the discus and javelin events. In the discus, she finished with a season best of 30.05 meters, while she finished the javelin event with a personal best distance of 30.81 meters.
How it Happened
- Overall, 28 athletes placed in the top three for their event, with 15 athletes placing first.
- The men's team finished first with an overall score of 76, while the women's team finished second with an overall score of 56.
