STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.– The FDU indoor track and field team traveled out to the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex for the Fastrack Last Chance Meet on Friday afternoon.
Devils Highlights
- Sophomore Alyssa Orio had the first action of the day for the Devils, posting a final time of 10.89 in the 60m hurdles. Following Orio, sophomore Brianna Fenderson competed in the 200m dash event, placing 18th with a final time of 28.19. Rounding out the day for the women, junior Irem Ucar placed ninth in the shot put event with a final distance of 8.71 meters.
- On the men's side, sophomore Evan McGinnity competed in the one-mile event and finished with a final time of 4:59.97. In the 400m dash, sophomore Lucas Sorrentino and junior Nathaniel Perrelli both placed within the top 30 in the event. Sorrentino finished with a final time of 53.77, while Perrelli finished with a final time of 54.13.
- In the men's long jump event, first year Cam McCleod placed ninth with a final distance of 5.83 meters. Senior Tytus Toliver also found himself with a ninth-place finish as he recorded a final distance of 12.23 meters in the shot put event. To finish off the meet, sophomore Alex Coles placed second in the high jump event with a final height of 1.85 meters.
How it Happened
- Overall, the Devils had four top ten finishes within the meet.
