Madison, NJ (November 19) – Three FDU-Florham Men's Soccer Student-Athletes have earned spots on the College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), Academic All-District Team for their hard work on the field and in the classroom this year.
Seniors
Drilon Toska (Lincoln Park, NJ) and
Jack Montanile (Toms River, NJ) along with junior
Ryan Maguire (Toms River, NJ) were three of 926 DIII Men's Soccer Players to receive the 2024 honor.
Toska, a computer science major with a 3.75 grade point average, played in all 21 games and registered a team-high 19 goals and 41 points for the Devils this fall. Toska's 19 goals were the best in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) and his 16 points ranked first along with being first in shots and shots on goal. He also was named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week twice this season.
Montanile, a criminology major with a 3.65 grade point average, saw action in all 21 games as well. Although he did not account for any goals with a defensive effort, he amassed four assists for four points and took aim eight times with two shots on goal. He was a critical part of the Devils defense as the team finished the season with a 12-8-1 overall record.
Maguire, a Sports Management major with a 3.64 grade point average has started in all 18 games he has appeared in. After lining up for a shot on 20 occasions, the junior notched 1 goal that happened to be his only game-winner of the season against Lehman. He also accounted for five assists and seven total points and was seen 31st in shots, 27th in shots on goal, and placed sixth for assists in the MAC Freedom.
Toska will appear on the national ballot for consideration for the CSC Academic All-America Team, which will be announced in early December.
