Madison, NJ (June 13) – The FDU-Florham men's soccer team and
head coach Keith O'Connor have announced the program's 2023 schedule which features a total of 19 matches, ten home contests and seven matchups against Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) opponents.
The Devils will get two exhibition matches in as they travel to retired MAC Freedom team Wilkes and William Paterson before they officially open up the season with the FDU/Drew Fall Festival on Friday, September 1 and Sunday, September 3, hosting Saint Elizabeth at 4:00 pm on Friday and traveling down the street at 5:30 pm on Sunday to Drew. FDU will wrap up its season-opening homestand against CCNY at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 6.
FDU-Florham will host five out of seven contests to wrap up the month of September starting with Gwynedd Mercy paying a visit on Saturday, September 9 at 3:00 pm. The Devils will then remain home to host Centenary (NJ) on Wednesday, September 13 at 7:00 pm, and then hit the road to Leham on Saturday, September 16 at 12:00 pm and Valley Forge on Tuesday, September 19 at 4 pm. Before the Devils open Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play, FDU-Florham will host Cairn on September 23 at 1 pm, and Yeshiva at 4pm on September 27.
Seven of the final eight matches of the 2023 season for FDU-Florham are all MAC Freedom contests – four home and three away. The Devils will travel to Marywood (October 4) for a non-conference match, Lebanon Valley (October 7), Arcadia (October 14) and DeSales (October 21) and will host Stevens (September 30), Misericordia (October 14), King's College (October 24) and Delaware Valley (October 25).
The MAC Freedom Tournament will begin on Tuesday, October 31 and a champion will be crowned on Saturday, November 4. The higher seeded team will be named the host in each round and the winner of the MAC Freedom title will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament.
