Madison, N.J (November 12) – The FDU-Florham women's swim team (4-0) took care of business during their dual meet with MAC school Lebanon Valley as they downed the Flying Dutchmen, 134-34.
The Devils were all over the top finishes.
Sarah Dougherty (Kinnelon N.J.) picked up a pair of first place finishes in the 100 breast (1:12.25) and the 200 IM (2:16.40) while
Magda Konopka (Paramus, N.J.) notched two wins in the 100 free (55.83) and the 200 free (2:00.28).
Katelyn Plank (Bridgewater N.J.) also finished the day with two first-place finishes as clocked a 24.90 in the 50 free and a 1:04.43 in the 100 back.
Riley Signor (Media Pa.) earned her first win of her collegiate career as touched the wall first in the 100 fly with a time of 1:10.60. She also picked up a second-place finish in the 100 breast behind Dougherty with a time of 1:20.22.
Jessica Mooney (Cranford, N.J.) also came away with a first and second place finish. She beat the field in the 500 free with a time of 5:49.28 and finished second in the 200 free behind Konopka with a time of 2:09.12.
The Devils fielded three relay teams during the dual meet. The 200 medley team consisting of Plank, Dougherty, Signor and
Ashley Smith (Tinton Falls, N.J.) clocked a time of 1:58.67. The Devils saw two quartets in the 200 free. The lineup of Konopka,
Lauren Stone (Middletown, N.J.), Mooney and Smith touched the wall first with an overall time of 1:47.41. They were followed by the team of
Brynn Kelly (Pequannock, N.J.), Isabel Thierman (Belmar, N.J.), Naia McGinn (Point Pleasant Borough, N.J.), and
Abigail Franco (New Providence, N.J.) who clocked a team time of 2:08.18.
FDU-Florham will be in action next weekend as the team heads down to Owings Mills, Md. to compete in a tri-meet against Gallaudet and host Stevenson.
