WAYNE, N.J. – The FDU-Florham swim team finishes out their regular season with a trip to William Paterson University on Saturday afternoon.
Devils Highlights
- To kick off the meet, the women's 200-yard medley relay team, made up of seniors Katelyn Plank, Magda Konopka, and Lauren Stone and sophomore Olivia Case, took home first for the Devils. They finished with a final time of 1:56.25, which was a full 10 seconds ahead of second place. Following this, Plank goes on to win three separate events for her team. She won the 100-yard backstroke with a final time of 1:02.19, the 200-yard backstroke with a final time of 2:20.65, and the 100-yard butterfly with a final time of 1:04.69.
- Later on in the meet, Konopka also had an extremely successful day, winning three separate events of her own. She won the 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 1:12.22, the 50-yard freestyle with a final time of 25.69, and the 100-yard freestyle with a final time of 56.95. Senior Jessica Mooney and sophomore Shalma Lopez also earned wins for their team against the Pioneers. Lopez won the 200-yard butterfly with a final time of 3:14.91, which was a full 14 seconds in front of second place. As for Mooney, she took first in the 500-yard freestyle with a final time of 5:55.84, which was a full 10 seconds in front of second place.
- On the men's side, seniors Michael Bang and AJ Vicidomini both took home two first place finishes to end their regular season. Vicidomini finished the 100-yard freestyle with a final time of 54.81 and the 200-yard butterfly with a final time of 2:13.44. Bang finished the 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 1:03.37 and the 100-yard butterfly with a final time of 56.38. The Devils ended their day with the women's 200-yard freestyle relay team taking first place with a final time of 1:52.78. The team was comprised of Mooney and Lopez, along with sophomores Caitlyn Kramaritsch and Olivia Glenfield.
How it Happened
- The women's side win against the Pioneers with a final score of 163.
- For the men's side, they drop the regular season final with a final score of 66.
