YORK, Pa. – The FDU-Florham swim team kicked off the 2026 MAC Championships with a strong showing at York College on Thursday morning.
Devils Highlights
- In the morning session, both teams combined to send seven swimmers to their respective finals in the evening session later in the day. Starting off the session, senior Jessica Mooney qualified for the 500-yard freestyle C final with a time of 5:43.88. Senior Jackson Standridge and sophomore Olivia Glenfield followed Mooney's performance by each qualifying in their respective 200-yard IM prelims. Standridge qualified for the C final with a time of 2:18.32, while Glenfield qualified for the B final with a time of 2:22.46.
- Seniors Michael Bang, Magda Konopka, Katelyn Plank, and Lauren Stone rounded out the morning session, with all four swimmers qualifying in their respective 50-yard freestyle event. Stone qualified for the C final, finishing with a time of 26.32, while both Bang and Plank qualified for the B final of their respective event, finishing with times of 22.08 for Bang and 25.30 for Plank. Konopka sat atop the morning leaderboard for the team today, finishing fourth place with a time of 24.62 and qualifying for the A final.
- In the evening session, Mooney once again kicked things off for the Devils by coming seventh in the 500-yard freestyle C final with a time of 5:45.11. Similarly, Standridge also earned himself a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard IM C final, posting a time of 2:18.11. Glenfield finished her 200-yard IM B final in fourth with an end time of 2:22.00, which was a .46 improvement from her prelims. In the 50-yard freestyle B final, Bang placed third with a time of 22.08, matching his prelims time from the morning session.
- To finish off the day, Konopka, Plank and Stone all competed in the women's 50-yard freestyle final. Konopka competed in the A final, finishing fifth with a time of 24.63. Plank competed in the B final where she finished second with a time of 25.27, which was a .03 improvement from her prelim race. Finally, Stone competed in the C final, finishing eighth with a time of 26.74.
