Montclair, NJ (January 19) – The FDU-Florham women's swimming team fell to Montclair State University by a 121-81 final inside the Panzer Athletic Center this afternoon.
Sarah Dougherty (Kinnelon, NJ) led the way for the Devils with a pair of individual victories today.
Dougherty began her day with the 200-medley relay team alongside
Paige Strangeway (Green Township, NJ),
Julianna Fazzio (Glassboro, NJ) and
Liz Briles (Glassboro, NJ) for third place in a time of 2:03.04. Dougherty went on to win the 200-IM in 2:19.23 and the 200-back in 2:18.92. Strangeway individually swam in the 200-breast and posted a time of 2:45.71 and in the 200-IM and placed fifth in 2:37.63.
Fazzio individually posted times of 2:23.24 for first place in the 200-fly and 2:07.54 for second place in the 200-free, while Briles touched the wall third in the 50-free in 27.40 and fourth in the 100-free in 1:01.42.
Emma Dougherty (Kinnelon, NJ) finished fourth in both the 1000-free (11:46.33) as well as the 500-free (5:42.86), while
Sarah Jurimas (Delran, NJ) took fifth in the 1000-free (12:18.13) and sixth in the 500-free (6:07.43).
Mikayla DeMarco (Bayville, NJ) posted a third place finish in the 200-breast (3:01.01) as well as sixth place finish in the 1000-free (13:00.02), while
Gianna Ritto (Hainesport, NJ) finished fourth in the 200-free (2:24.97) and fifth in the 200-fly (2:47.71).

Emily Maciejewski (Wall, NJ), E. Dougherty and Ritto closed the meet with a time of 4:19.35 in the 400-free relay.
FDU will swim in its final dual meet of the 2021-22 season on Sunday, January 23 at Lebanon Valley College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm.
