Oliver Trujillo (Bridgewater, NJ) and senior
Tiernan Grey (Staten Island, NY) have swept the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) weekly awards for their performances over the past two matches.
Trujillo, the league's Offensive Player of the Week, led the Devils to two weeks last week with two goals and one assist for five points. On Wednesday against Centenary, Trujillo registered the first goal of the game in the seventh minute and tallied the assist on the game winning goal in the 74th minute. Then on Saturday at Farmingdale State, the junior scored FDU's second goal of the game in the 74th minute leading to an eventual 3-2 overtime road win for the Devils.
Grey, the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week, made 12 saves on the 15 shots on goal he faced over 188:42 minutes between the pipes for FDU-Florham. The senior matched his season-high with seven saves in a 2-1 win over Centenary on Wednesday and then posted five saves in a 3-2 overtime win at Farmingdale State.
FDU will host Albright College on Wednesday, September 22 at 7:00 pm on Robert T. Shields Field.
