MADISON, NJ (January 12, 2021)- FDU Florham Director of Athletics,
Jenn Noon announces the hiring of Lauren Michel as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for Devils Athletics. This is the second stint for Michel with the Devils, previously serving as an Athletic Training Student during the 2019 spring semester. She will assist Interim Head Athletic Trainer,
Jesse Boyland with all 19 sports programs.

"We are happy to have Lauren back on the Devils team," said Boyland about the hire. "When she was an Athletic Training Student for us back in 2019, we knew she had the abilities to become a great athletic trainer. We are glad she was able to gain even more experience and wanted to join our team. She's a great addition and will help our department be the best it can be."

Michel graduated from Rutgers University in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies and an Applied Kinesiology option. After finishing her undergrad, Lauren attended Seton Hall University, graduating in the spring of 2020 with a Master's of Science in Athletic Training.

As an Athletic Training Student, Lauren has spent time at Union High School, FDU, the New York Jets and Seton Hall University. Starting at Union in 2018, Michel got her first experience working with

the football, soccer, volleyball and track and field programs. After Union, Lauren joined the Devils staff in January 2019, assisting with men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, and men's and women's lacrosse.

From there, she spent six months with the New York Jets, helping the training staff with evaluations, first aid care, rehabilitation, hydration and application of modalities. Michel finished up as an Athletic Training Student at Seton Hall, working with men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, cross-country and swimming and diving.

Lauren also has experience at Hackensack University Medical Center and Rutgers University Athletics, while also spending time with the New York Giants and New York Guardians Professional football teams.
