MADISON, N.J. (January 6, 2018) - The FDU women's swim team topped Lehman and Kean in a double dual-meet Saturday.
The Devils knocked off Lehman 109-71 and Kean 109-79.
Senior
Samantha Irace grabbed first in the 1,000 yard freestyle, touching the wall in 12:02.63. The senior was also second in the 500-free, placing behind teammate
Molly Miller. The standout freshman was first in 5:32.53.
Miller was three-event winner for FDU, taking first in the 200- yard free (2:03.8) and the 100-free (57.68). Senior
Sarah Bennett notched a first place time of 27.29 in the 50-free before coming back to win the 100-fly in 1:05.68.
Junior
Mackenzie Doherty and freshman
Grace Douglas went 1-2 in the 200-IM, as Doherty touched in 2:27.16. Doherty also was first in the 100-breaststroke, winning by six seconds 1:19.88 while notched first in the 100-back.
The 400-yard freestyle relay claimed first in 4:11.88, which consisted of Douglas, Irace, Doherty and Bennett. Junior
