MADISON, N.J. -- The FDU-Florham swim team was edged by William Paterson University 101-88 in its 2015-16 home opener at the Ferguson Recreation Center on Friday night.

The Devils were led by Samantha Irace, who clocked the top time in the 1000-yard freestyle at 12:21.15. The sophomore Irace picked up right where she left off after a successful freshman campaign in Madison by also earning the victory in the 500-yard freestyle at 6:04.52. 

MacKenzie Doherty also came through for the Devils in her first meet in Madison by taking the 200-yard freestyle in 2:10.47.

Up next for FDU-Florham is Wilkes University this Wednesday, October 28 at 4 p.m.
