Box Score WILKES BARRE- Pa. – The FDU-Florham men's lacrosse team took a 12-3 loss to the King's College Monarchs on Thursday afternoon.
Trailing 2-0, freshman
Mike Duesler (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) netted the Devils (6-7, 1-3 Freedom) first goal off of an assist from
Daniel Minnich (Laurys Station, Pa./Parkland). The Monarchs (7-6, 3-2 Freedom) responded by tallying the next three goals and led 5-1 through one period of play.
With 6:45 to play in the second quarter, Minnich found the back of the net but the Devils were outscored 2-1 in the period and entered intermission trailing 7-2.
King's came out and scored the first two goals of the second half to stake a 9-2 lead and FDU-Florham was unable to mount a comeback. With 4:36 to go in the third, freshman
Connor May (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Arcadia) scored the Devils final goal of the contest.
The Devils defense did a good job of limiting the Monarchs in the fourth quarter and held the road team to only two goals.
In the loss, freshman
Dan Decker (East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) caused three turnovers and four ground balls, while junior goalkeeper
Gerry Yotcoski (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) totaled 11 saves in the loss.
Junior
Kevin Sweeney finished with four goals, while
Kiernan McMahonadded three for the King's in the win.

nd to take on Manhattanville College, with start time slated for 7 p.m.
